Saving a range as a text file

I have a range which I wish to save as a text file
I have a sub which copies the range to a newly opened workbook and then saves this as a textfile.
I have used this sub many times without problems in other applications, but this time I am faced with an error message
    Run Time error 1004
Cannot access read only document Annual_Sales_Summary.txt
I have attached a pared down version which displays the problem. If someone can tell me where I have gone wrong I would be very grateful.
