Cant seem to "unfilter" sheet using vba , note sheet is a data table

Enclosed is an excel file .....look at macro2.

I am trying to simply turn off filtering but it does not work..........no idea why. think it has to do with the fact that sheet is a data table.

can someone help me?

ok....that works ...i dont know why it works and mine does not.

but the problem is i dont want to turn it off unless its on. If i use your approach and filters are already off then it turns them on.

thoughts?
