Why does Group index change when the group is Cut and Paste

    Why does Group index change when the group is Cut and Paste

    I need to move a number of shapes and charts that are grouped together an had the got the name "Group 7". I want make a code to move this Group to Range A2.

    I Have tried to just select the Array Group and then "Cut" and then go to a specific range for example A2 and paste it there. But the next time I want to run the macro it doesent work because it has change name from "Group 7" to "Group 17".

    Do someone understand any of what I am trying to say here and have had the same problem. Useing Excel 2016.

    PLEASE HELP!!!

    Apparently, when you cut and paste, Excel sees the pasted group as a New Group and automatically assigns the next group number to it. Haven't worked with groupings but maybe if you gave it a name instead of using the index number as a name, then it would retain the name even when moved.
    Any code provided by me should be tested on a copy or a mock up of your original data before applying it to the original. Some events in VBA cannot be reversed with the undo facility in Excel.
