    Converting Vlookup into index/match

    Hello all,

    I read that i can't use Vlookup for an offset formula.
    Now i would like to turn my Vlookup into Index/Match but i have no clue how;

    Can someone give me an example? So i can see what to change into what so it becomes Index / Match?

    Re: Converting Vlookup into index/match

    By 'offset formula' are you saying that you want the result to come from a different row to the one where vlookup would find the match for the criteria?

    That would be something like this, to get the result from the row below (offset +1 row)

    =INDEX('Gel Calc'!A5:N16;MATCH(A4;'Gel Calc'!A5:A16;0)+1;Dashboard!$D$16+3

    If this is not what you are looking for, then a better example of what you want to try and do would help us to advise you better.
