I am trying to execute some code before a pivot table changes as result of a slicer selection, filter being applied / changed or similar
There are multiple pivot tables on the worksheet and I am only interest when pivot table called "emphols_pvt" changes. Currently I have been unable to achieve this. I have placed a copy of the code I am using below. I would welcome any advice.

Is your PivotTable based on Excel Range/Table? Or is it based on OLAP data model?
If it's based on Range/Table, then this event isn't triggered as it's used only for OLAP based pivot, when updating data cube.

Ok, what is it you are trying to do here?
It would help, if you can upload sample workbook.
If not, then load your Excel Table to Get & Transform, and then from there to Data Model. This will allow Pivot to use OLAP model as source and will trigger the event.

I have decided to redesign the layout of the spread sheet to eliminate the need to catch when the pivot table changes
