    Re: Label worksheet

    Paste this into the ThisWorkbook Module of the workbook:

    Private Sub Workbook_Open()
    ActiveWindow.DisplayWorkbookTabs = False
    End Sub

    Private Sub Workbook_BeforeClose(Cancel As Boolean)
    ActiveWindow.DisplayWorkbookTabs = True
    End Sub

    Hi Toby,

    I think you are looking for the File > Options > Advanced > Display Options for this workbook > Show Sheet Tabs

    Uncheck this box and see if that is what you are trying to do.

    Re: Label worksheet

    it is a setting that you can switch between true and false. you can find it in options > advanced > Display options for this workbook. uncheck "Sheet tabs"

    This code below is a toggleCode that will turn on or turn off sheettabs. if you link that code to a shortcutkey you can switch it on and off with that same shortcutkey

    Sub ToggleSheetTabs()
     ActiveWindow.DisplayWorkbookTabs = Not ActiveWindow.DisplayWorkbookTabs
    End Sub
    If you want to make it part of a larger code you can also add the line

     ActiveWindow.DisplayWorkbookTabs = False
    to turn them off and
     ActiveWindow.DisplayWorkbookTabs = True
    to turn them back on
