    Name, date and time stamp.

    Hi all,

    I have a worksheet and want to record a name, date and time stamp when any data is chance on the sheet, i have attached a document to illistrate what i am looking for, any help will be most greatfully received.

    Right click the sheet tab, select "View Code" & paste the below in the window that opens:
    Please Login or Register  to view this content.
    You could use Eviron("UserName") instead of Application.UserName depending on what you actually want to show.

    Put this into the worksheet code.

    Please note that I don't know where you would get the persons name that made the change, So I grab the system username for example purpouses (marked in red). You can change that bit to your own needs.

    Out of curiosity, what is the benefit of your long code snippet over BSB's very short and efficient code?

    Pretty much nothing. The main difference is declaring and setting variables used in the code. Not that important with a simple macro that this is.
    I started answering this and went to lunch, didn't refresh the thread before posting my solution BSB's code is almost identical.
