I have two pretty common worksheets for different things but both with a variable number of input rows (a range of identical rows with input cells and a total formula at the bottom). When a row is inserted above the first or below the last input row any figures in these rows are not included in the totals formula because the range in the formula is not adjusted my excel accordingly. This happens only when rows are copied/moved/inserted between the first and the last row. This behavior (or restriction respectively) caused many wrong total figures in my life just caused by a careless mistake.
I have made a successful effort to overcome this peculiar behavior by adding my own commands/items in the right-mouse-click popup menu. However, I wonder whether there is an easier way to cope with this problem. No need to say that the many possible obstructions like sheet protection, merged cells, hidden columns, and auto-filter do make the whole thing a real challenge.
