partial string match by using loops
rows : eg :
Jrt reddy - colorindex
dhoni jrt - colorindex
reddy - ignore colorindex
jagadeesh JRT - colorindex
Attach a workbook so people don't have to make up their own with the possibility of it being wrong.
Why not just use conditional formatting?
Select D2:D and last row & use this formula
=ISNUMBER(SEARCH("jrt",D2))

In the meantime you may look at the attached Workbook, and adjust it to your requirements....so people don't have to make up their own with the possibility of it being wrong.
