Length of a picture’s path

Hi All

I am using a listbox to list all the pictures in a folder. If I click on any one, it shows the picture in an image control. When the length of the file’s path is 127 and over it give an error “Path/File access error”. Any files in the same folder with a shorter length display correctly. All the attributes of the files is the same. If I make the filename shorter, it shows, but I do not want to make the length shorter.

Have you tried putting the path of the container folder in a cell, and then using a reference to that cell & the filename for the link?

For instance, put in cell A1: C:\{Path to the folder containing the pictures}

Then in cell A2: =HYPERLINK(A1&"NameOfFile.jpg")

Don't know if that will ultimately work, but hey, maybe it's worth a shot? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thank you and it works from the cell, using my PC's default image viewer. My viewer is on a userform with a listbox and image control. It does not really matter how long the filename is or how long die folder structure is. As soon as the total length is 127 or more, I get this error. I have attached my file with folder and images. This works from C:\Temp

A solution will really be appreciated. I use this for my music database to display the image once I click on the CD name.
