Interacting with Windows folders in Excel

Is there a lot of functionality with Windows folders in Excel? I found a resource so far (can't link to it, but it's done using "Manage Names" in Formulas and a few cells of formulas) that lets me list files in a specific folder, though it seems primarily for display, and I'm looking to systematically pull files from different folders.

Is it possible for me to have it display clickable files?

Or is it possible for me to broaden this so that I can display files automatically from a linked folder in an adjacent cell?
