    Customer Product Selector Tool

    Hello Everyone,

I am a bit stuck and would appreciate any help. I am looking to create a spreadsheet which would enable my team choose a suitable product(s) for any customer's requirements. My company sells products that are designed to meet a matrix of criteria specified by the customer. I tried to make start on this, but I have absolutely no idea how to go about this. What would be ideal is for the various criteria to be selected and a recommended product (s) given as an output. The different criteria could be text or numbers. Any help will be very much appreciated.

    Hi and welcome

Do all selected criteria have to be an exact match in order for the product to be selected?

    Beth.

    Hi Beth,

    Thanks for your reply.
Yes, that would be preferable. Although the products might not meet all the specified criteria, we sometimes put forward a next best product. In this case, I guess that would do simply involves using as few filters (criteria) as possible?

Do they have to be as many criteria as in the excel file? Or they could be just 5 and different.

I think it would be difficult to have to work with 22 criteria of which:
    - 6 have the options Poor, Fair, Good, Excellent
    - 10 have numbers as options, 1-10 or 1-15
    - 2 have Yes, No, Both
    - 2 have countries
    - 2 have Low, Medium, High

These 22 criteria could be broken down to just 5?

Made something in VBA with dependent combo boxes, dunno if ideal however. See attachment.

    Another one to play with.

Select criterion in left combo, value in right combo. Keep repeating for each desired criterion.

Everytime a criterion and value is selected the listbox gets filtered further and further.

    Refresh starts the list again.

Avoid using Select, Selection and Activate in your code. Use With ... End With instead.

This is excellent. How do I edit the "Criterion" in the properties table to actual parameters like "price", "density", "solubility" without making a mess of what you have done?

Change the headers in Properties sheet. After that copy header row of Properties sheet to Products sheet so that they match exactly.
