To Allow Protected Sheet to Update after Selection from Drop-down

Hi All:

I have a worksheet with calculations driven by selections from a drop-down on the same sheet. When the sheet is protected the calculations will not work as Excel has 'Sheet is Protected..' message.

How is it possible to allow a sheet to update but keep protection in place?

you are probably getting that error as a result of trying to change the drop down, not the formulas. Formulas are free to update on protected sheets.

So be sure to UNLOCK the cell with the drop down list before you protect the sheet.

Thank you! So simple when you know how. The drop-down was locked and had spent 4-5 hours trying to figure out why!
