vba advanced filter blank rows for printing

    Hi all
i have a large sheet when the workbook is finally printed at the end of each section there is a small recap that enables the end user to stamp section is complete for a paper copy to keep.

My problem is if i preformat this section it looks completely differnt to the rest of the worksheet with some boxes that are empty the problem is when i run an advanced filter of unservacable parts if that section is there the filter stops at the end of the first section if i delete these 6 rows then the advance filter will run all the way to the end of the sheet.

is there a way i can exclude these sections from the filter or does anybody have any other ideas?

    LKind regards tim

    Hi Tim,

Excel works best in "TABLES" of data. These have columns of similar stuff in them like Dates or Numbers. If halfway down your table you put some text to explain something it screws the whole table up. In short you can't use middle rows to explain stuff. It sounds like your "small recap" is the problem. Could you move it to the right side of the table to do the same work? Would a Comment or Note in a cell work similar to what you need? Check out Notes and Comments in Excel 2016 and if they don't make sense then supply a sample of you data and those "section is complete" marks you need. I think there should be a solutions if we can understand the problem.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

Hi Marvin thanks for the reply i can remove the recap sections and the filtering works perfectly my problem really is how could i enter them back in again for printing? note or comment cells wont really suffice im afraid i would have to mock up something as i cant really share the actual data but if needed i could

    Kind regards tim
