API calls only work sometimes

I have some API calls (not shown here) which remove the "X" in the upper right-hand corner of a userform called 'InitializationProgress" in Excel. When I run the macro "tt" (below), the userform shows up without the "X", as desired. However, when I run the "Countdown" macro (which turns the userform into a progress bar via the function WaitForm), the "X" doesn't disappear. Any help to fix this is appreciated!

I should also mention that in the InitializationProgress code, there are these snippets, which are what actually makes the "X" disappear via "SystemButtonSettings", which is code in another module that actually does the disappearing.

Hi, welcome to the form.
You will have to add a Initialize and an Activate event to the userform when running it from a macro like you do.
I'v no problems with my X when I require it, but my code is probably different, I don't know what SystemButtonSettings is, problably a self written Function?
