adjusting formula sumifs for three months from sheet to another

hi, everyone
i have this formula to sum data for specific data a7,a8 and result in d7,d8 in sheet YTD when i choose the month in a2 based on sheet 2020 what i would when i choose the month in a2 for instance i choose mar then the result in d7,d8 sum data the months 1,2,3

to use SUMIFS (efficiently) you would need to combine your month & year values in a single column (on 2020 sheet etc)

the above assumes that in your locale entering Jan-2020 into a cell (or equivalent values) would be recognised as a date.

hi, xlnet your formula works perfectly i'm sorry about don't make clear i would every 3 months mean like this when i sum month 4 or 4,5 or 4,5,6 don't sum 1,2,3 so on rests of months

so, you actually want QTD, rather than YTD ?
