I've built a tree graph in excel but would like to be interactive-is this possible?

I've built a tree graph using shapes but I would like to add an interactive element that will allow the user to select or deselect objects and record selections on another sheet. Is this possible using excel or should I look elsewhere? Currently using 2016. Suggestions? small sample below...

Hi, I haven't worked with them yet but I would suggest you look into what Slicers kan do for you.
I've seen it working and it's fast and very user friendly

Thanks for the feed back! I've done some more research on this and I think I'm going to accomplish this by building some macros and assigning them to my shapes.

I don't know what it is exactly what you're doing but you could also create a worksheet with all the folders and sub-folders and link each shape to each 'sub-folder' so that you can follow the 'tree'
Hope I'm making sense, but it's just an idea
