VBA code for entering a date/ensuring right format

Hello everyone,

I've been having some issues with coding the following:

1 - If any input is entered into column Y, today's date should be automatically entered into column X on the same row. This should be the case for all rows within the spreadsheet


2 - Also, within my spreadsheet there are a lot of date columns. I was just wondering if there's a 'checker' to allow only date inputs to be entered, and if there isn't one to put a flashing box/highlight the box with a colour to show it isnt in the right format?
