Hi VBA family,
I am operating on Excel 32bit.
I have a code that I've used for years. I've had to tinker it every now and then as it seems Windows Updates/Company Network Policies seem to "break" the VBA code and some lines error out for some reason. It is a simple macro -- and the file size is not large (4.5MB)...However this time I cannot figure out how to get the code working again. I will say sometimes it works for a few loops, but eventually crashes.
My code is used for creating individual expense reports by cost center. In a master file, The VBA code loops through cost centers assigned to certain groups (people) and creates a separate file with all their monthly expenses summarized in a presentable view -- the macro creates about 70 files a month. This time I am stumped and not sure what to do to fix the macro -- it crashes every time on a line executing
I've tried running the code on a network, local network, virtual machine ...Excel safe mode, I created a new workbook and copied the code over to that workbook, tried repairing Office....
I am attaching a workbook example which hopefully helps further explain. Looking for advice if my code is causing excel to crash (is there newer code to use/more efficient)?
Thanks to everyone who can help.. it is greatly appreciated!
Best,
