How to create multiple workbooks from template and change values in it?

    Hello,

I have a project and couldn't go forward anymore, could you please help me for my below issue? thanks in advance.

I have multiple worksheets and their names are Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, etc.. (there can be more than 100 sheets) I want to create new workbooks with these names but these worksbooks will be in totaly different design.

So, is there anyway to create new workbook name in Alpha and copy existing worksheet's C1 value to its D2; G5 to its E5, etc.

    Thank you.

Maybe once you've copied a sheet to a NEW workbook add a column before column C and a new Row 1.

    Hi,
thanks for your reply but it won't work for me... C1, G5, etc were just an example.

There will be more than 50 cell values to be copied to the new template from existing one. And I have more than 100 sheets. If I do it manually, I will need to create 100 new workbooks and fill 50 cells. It is a huge work for me and I'm trying to short cut fo rit.

    Hi,

So this is clearly a much simplified example and doesn't indicate exactly how your layout should change for different sheets. We often find that when we give an answer to what is a trivial non representative example when the solution is used with the real world data it doesn't work because of factors like string length and other stuff which is important but hasn't been mentioned.

Therefore upload your real workbook (or at least a cut down copy), and manually add the results you expect to see. Clearly identify which is original data and which are the results and in a note clearly explain how you have arrived at your results.

Remember that when you ask a question in a forum those of us who might be able to help know absolutely nothing about your system and work process or the terminology you use. Unless you have uploaded a workbook we know nothing about how it is laid out and little about what you want done with it or how the results should be presented.

Whilst these things are second nature to you since you live with the workbook all the working day we start with zero knowledge so you need to take us by the hand and explain in quite precise detail your aims and goals as well as stuff like how your data might look different in other situations.
Don't assume we are able to "figure it out". We're usually quite good but not prescient.

Put yourself in our position and think about whether what you've posted makes sense and is unambiguous to someone who's never seen it before.
You are asking us for help so help us to be able to help you by providing all the information we need, even if that information seems obvious or intuitive to you.

Re: How to create multiple workbooks from template and change values in it?

    Hello,

I really appreciate your helps and you are totaly right. Attached you can find my excel sheet and here is explanation of my request.

As you can see, I have list at B4 to B13 in cover page. According to these values, I create new worksheets based on "Template" page. After than I work on these workseets.

In the end of my study, I want to create new worksheets with the name at B4 to B13 but this time they should be created based on "2nd Template". and I need to copy values from firstly created worksheets to tne new one.

For example, when I start the macros, firtly "A0004913141" worksheet will be created based on "Template" page. After my study, I will run another macro and a new worksheetbased on "2nd Template" will be created and the new worksheet name will be "A0004913141-CBD".
And, E13 in "A0004913141" will be copied F9 in "A0004913141-CBD".

I hope I could explain what I need.
