    is it possible autonumbering multiple columns based on select active cell?

    hello
    i put my expected result in sheet 1 the numbering should in col a based on select active cell in column b , col c based on select activecell on col d the numbering should in col a,c

    You can modify this as needed for particular column or prefix.

    thanks alansidman for this code actually i'm looking for way do that by worksheet change event just if i fill data every cell in col b or col d

    Explain this with an example as I am a little dense today and it is not clear to me what you are asking.
