    Record mouse click Macro instead

Hi, I use Ablebits and Kutools but they are interactive tools and will not record in a macro. Are there any add-ins or tools for excel that will record my mouse clicks step by step then allow me to replay the steps? I found some windows macros but they don't work very well.

    Thank you
    Kim

Ablebits and Kutools won't record in Macros which is why I was looking for another way.

    .
If your intent is to record your mouse clicks to be run later, you can record a macro automatically by using the
Excel Record Macro function. Then you can include that macro code in your project to automatically click
the various cells for you purpose.

Forget Ablebits and Kutools ... neither is applicable or involved in the Excel Record Macro process.

You are seeking help, which is why you came here. Do a Google search for: Excel Record Macro. Tons of sites with instructions that will walk you through it.

There are also sites that will explain How To Run A Macro.

It really is easy. If you can use those two software pkges, there no reason you can't record a macro .

I think that the OP is wanting to record functions he uses in those add-ins as part of the macro, not record the macro with them.

I don't have Kutools but google search would suggest the addin does expose some commands that can be called from VBA
    md_KTEAction.

Whilst excel's macro recorder will not capture this you can manually write the code *IF* the functionality you want is exposed in someway. If you have the tool you could ask that question on the developers site.

    See this.

I've only used AutoHotKey and AutoIt, and not in great depth. They'd do what you want, but you'd have a learning curve.
