CurrentRegion issues

This should be simple and I'm sure it worked a few weeks ago. Indeterminate amount of info in a worksheet. The start of my custom function then seems to go wrong.

At the moment this ignores the passed in table. The result always comes back as $A$1. There are about 10 lines and columns on xxxSheet1. Where have I gone wrong? TIA

Is there any data in A2, B1 or B2?

yup data in all cells from A1 to about H10.

Keep forgetting, you cannot use CurrentRegion in a function if it's being called from a worksheet.

That tracks with what I was testing ie the immediate window gave me the right info, but the function isn't. thanks.
