open a WB from another WB and passwordprotect

Hello

I have a Woorkbook thats open several excelfiles from a server some of them i want to protect with a password

So when people hit buttom to open this file it they should be asked to enter password

there is no password in the workbooks

You could try something simple like the following. It's not really secure because the code is visible to any one that looks but it works as a light impediment to accessing the other workbook.
