Named ranges & error 1004 "cannot use that command on overlapping sections....

I'm just learning how to use VBA/Macros, and i have one macro referring to another macro. when the file is copied/renamed it tries to refer to the original file. I removed the file name from the macro and now steps through, but i get error 1004 "cannot use that command on overlapping sections....

Could questions, how do i go about getting these macros consolidated? & How do i tell what is overlapping? I there's only one range & no merged cells.

The PTSSheet2() - is to remove empty rows from copied worksheet
The SimbadS()-is to copy/paste a hidden reference worksheet

    Administrative Note:

    Welcome to the forum.

We would very much like to help you with your query, however the thread title does not really convey what your request is about. Tell us what you are trying to do, not how you think it should be done.

Please take a moment to amend your thread title. Make sure that the title properly explains your request. Your title should be explicit and not be generic (this includes function names used without an indication of what you are trying to achieve).

Please see Forum Rule #1 about proper thread titles and adjust accordingly. To edit the thread title, open the original post to edit and then click on Go Advanced (bottom right) to access the area where you can edit your title.

(Note: this change is not optional. As you are new here, I will do it for you today. I will also correct your code tags - you have used quote tags by mistake.)

Please upload a workbook or a representative cut down copy, anonymised if necessary. It is always easier to advise if we can see your request in its context.

Show a before and after situation with manually calculated results, explaining which information is data and which is results, and if it's not blindingly obvious how you have arrived at your results some explanatory notes as well.

To upload a file click the Go Advanced button at the foot of your post, look underneath the post area for the Manage Attachments section and take it from there.

Re: Named ranges & error 1004 "cannot use that command on overlapping sections....

Here's a very simple copy of my original file. The macro in the original file worked without any issue, then they copied/pasted the file and the macro continued to try to refer to the previous versions macro. I deleted the name from the original macro so it would just be "Simbads" and then the range issue popped up. The original macros are shown in the quotes above.

Essentially i'm trying to have functions automatically transfer information to a very hidden sheet, and then when the run the macro it copies the sheet and removes the blank rows. The blank rows happen randomly dependent on staffing for the day.

I can't seem to get the error to duplicate exactly as I'm getting on the original, or that I shared originally. I continue to try but it's appears to be a wasted effort at this point.
