String similarity comparison

I found some other site this kind of function to compare two strings. It works great but I need to develop it a little bit. I need to compare string to strings in range and pick there most similar value. Now function goes like this =similarity(A1;B1) but I need it to work like =similarity(A1;B1:B500). I don't understand at all code below so I cannot do anything for it.

You may not be aware but Microsoft has a free Excel 'Fuzzy Lookup' Add In.

This can compare two tables of strings and allows you to set the level of matching you will accept as a match.

You need to add a loop and store the highest score.
Also change a couple of variable types in order to handle range of cells.
