Your request is not entirely clear to me. Please answer these questions...

1) If there are only 0, 1 or 2 vowels, you are not interested in them, correct?

2) What if there are 4 or more vowels, can only 3 of them be different but a 4th, 5th, etc. must match?

3) Or is what you are looking for all the consonant to match by letter and position ignoring any and all vowels?

3 6 letters match same position , vowel change , should work with EIGHT letter words where 7 positions must match with a vowel changing at 1 position
