    Search Box + YES/NO Output

Hello Everyone, I need to make my Search Box a bit smarter than it is, I guess there is a solution for this since I have found some functions that by themsleves do part of what I need.

Please look at the Screenshot (Sample workbook attached as well):
    • I need to Input a value/string into the Search Box in/over C2
    • If the value/string is found in Colum A, then please give the output "OUT", in colum B, if not just stay at "?".
    • This output should stay at "OUT" though...because I will input other value/string in the search box.

I would be extremely grateful for some help here.

    Thanks a lot and regards,

    G

    Welcome to the forum.

There are instructions at the top of the page explaining how to attach your sample workbook (not a screenshot of it).

A good sample workbook has just 10-20 rows of representative data that has been desensitised. It also has expected results mocked up, relevant cells highlighted and a few explanatory notes.

Thank you very very much. I will check it out in Detail and see if I can replicate it under different conditions.

Re: Search Box + YES/NO Output

Ok I did it. No sorry, I meant, my original table is much bigger and complex than the sample one. So I needed to change/adapt your code to that. But it worked perfectly, so thanks a lot.
