Create Rows based on two tables

    Hi ,

Ex: Table 1 has following entries

    A 2 KFC
    A 3 Dominoes
    B 1 Ford
    B 2 BMW
    C 1 Paris

    Table 2 has following entries
    A 1 MCD
    A 2 KFC
    B 1 FORD
    B 2 BMW
    D 1 France

Output table should be created as follows
    A 1 MCD 1 MCD
    A 2 KFC 2 KFC
    A 3 Dominoes
    B 1 Ford 1 Ford
    B 2 BMW 2 BMW
    C 1 Paris
    D 1 France

I have around 40k entries that needs to be done in this way. Please help.

Re: Create Rows based on two tables

I suspect this is over-simplified: are both tables on a single sheet - If not post a file with EXACT format of the real workbook.

And can there be more entries in Table 2 than Table 1 for a given code (A,B,C etc) ?
If that takes care of your original question, please select Thread Tools from the menu link above and mark this thread as SOLVED.

    Hi,

Yes this is simplified version. I have two tables with almost 40k entries in it and I need to combine them for further analysis to check missing details.

    @udayg10

Your profile indicates you are using XL2007. Is this still the case. Depending on which version you are using will determine for many how this is answered. If you are using a later version, please update your profile.

    No VBA, but pivot table.

See if this format is also usefull.

    See the attached file.
Notice my main language is not English.
