Copy a table shape from a PowerPoint slide embedded in excel file to clipboard

Hope all is well.

I have search the internet and it seems I can not find the answer for my problem. Hope someone can perhaps help me.

I have an excel sheet and embedded in the sheet is a PowerPoint (ppt) slide (one slide) with a table on it.

I want to open the embedded ppt file with the slide in excel. This code I have to select the object and open it. However I cannot figure out how to copy just the table shape that is on the slide??? I manage to copy the whole object, but this is not what I want because it copies the whole slide and not just the table.

Thank I have tried it this morning, however it gives me an error immediately on the z.verb 2 line. I need help on the last piece of the code for copy. the rest that I have runs perfectly to open the object 8 , but can not get the shape to copy.

Hi Andy,

If I run the code I shared it opens the object 8 perfectly so I can edit the slide table info in excel, however after editing I want to copy that table to the clipboard basically. As per the picture you can see it is selected and open for editing.

I have attached a basic example using a button.

You are right it works perfectly in the example sheet. Can not wrap my head why it is not working in my other sheet. It is setup the same basically but it give the same error of the z.Verb 2 line. Attached picture with error code.

Even in the example sheet if I delete the verb number 2 it still works, but in my other sheet not. to be honest I have no idea what the verb number means. I tried a few things again and no luck. I even added a button as well, with your code and still no luck. There is only that one object on the sheet as well, exactly as the example one. Head scratcher for me know....

Hi, I have uploaded my other sheet for you to see. I have deleted sensitive info etc.

You will see on the tab GCD CPPM Progress is the button to copy etc.
