ActiveX Spin button makes excel transparent

Good Evening Everyone,

I'm having a very annoying issue. I have an activeX spin button and every time I click it my entire workbook goes transparent for a second. I'd be happy to post my VBA code if anyone thinks it's relevant, but it just scans the sheet for a cell, grabs the value, then increments another cell by a percentage of the cell value it found. The functionality works fine, it's just that whenever I click the activeX button it blanks our my screen. Has anyone encountered this issue? It does not happen with normal form controls.

Honest answer. Don't use ActiveX controls, they are unsupported and potentially dangerous (depreciated since 2015). Use the Spin button included in the WinForm controls.

I've read that everywhere. Unfortunately that means there's now way to interact with the buttons through VBA correct?
