I am using a formula to capitalize the first letter of each word. I wanted to know if there is a way to exclude the last word, which is a serial number that should remain all capital letters.

if, per sample, the serial codes are always 10 chars, then:
=PROPER(LEFT(B1,LEN(B1)-10))&RIGHT(B1,10)
