Hey I googled this code, but all I get for a result is #NAME?
I was told to type =CountCellsByColor(A3:G3,J3)
I'm trying to count cells with a specific fill color

There isn't function named CountCellsByColor in your macro.
Oh my, I pasted the wrong formula into this form. It is correct in my workbook. Edited original post.

Not sure what happenend, but I closed and reopened and it works fine....
You didn't enabled macro on opening the file, it will show #NAME because of macro security.
