want to make macros works only when i on current area?

have a macros which return lines to every cell in area A1:j10. but macros works if i change any sell on a whole document. is it possible to make macros work only if i m working on macros area A1:j10 ? it will return ctrl+z to the rest of the document and save tons of time for me (because document is huge and mistakes are pretty common).
