Question Set a conditional format based on a given formatted cell

    Hello,

    Almost everything in the title...
I am reactivating this topic few years later.
I would like to create a conditional formating entering cell format based on the format of an existing cell.
Not sure to be clear ...
    As an example :
cell A1 : some format set (color, gradient, font, etc)

Then in B2 I would like to create a conditional formatting, where if condition is ok, set the format of A1.

It would mean to get all A1 cell characteritics in order to copy them in conditionnal format.

I do not know which way to start, any recommendation ?

Thanks in advance for your help

Thanks for that but not sure to see where you create a conditionnal formatting in B2.
To be more precise, I think I am stuck when trying to copy interior.gradient attribute from A1 cell format to conditionnal formatting.

You could probably use GET.CELL to achieve your goal. There has been some discussion on this topic here https://www.excelforum.com/excel-for...ml#post5857634

    Thanks Pepe.
Nothing about Gradient and ColorStops in Get.Cell function mentioned
    Let's wait for another contribution.
