I have a series of excel templates (With macros) that collects data from a CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine).
The data is read from three text files.
I have managed to decipher how the "Characteristic.xlt file is setup and can manage my data that is placed.
The templates are triggered internally by the CMM software.
The text files have variables that uses the CMM programs name: 60022-100_1_Manifold Chem-Milled Stock_11-16-23
and an incremental part counter so I end up with an excel file named: 60022-100_1_Manifold Chem-Milled Stock_11-16-23_40.xls
I need to know what code is generating the workbook name.
I have attached the templates and an XLS file that works with the templates along with three text files (Comma delimited?) and an example workbook that is created (I manually rename these).
60022-100_1_Manifold Chem-Milled Stock_11-16-23_EB-D23-037_10.xls
I can't seem to figure out what code creates the name of the workbook so I can change it?
This is kind of a long shot, as I don't think you can run the templates/macros and compile data without being triggered by the CMM software.
As always, any help is appreciated.
P.S.
When the Chqaracteristic_Test1.xlt files is opened, DO NOT click on the "Enable Content" button. (This will cause an INI file error to pop up).
There is an "X" at the far right (In the yellow area), use it to remove the warning. See image: Capture.PNG
