Tick a box to create a label

    Hi,

I've designed a label for work. I've removed all the sensitive information. Is there a way in which i could have a tick box on a blank sheet so that i can tick it and it would create a label for me complete with formatting and all the relevent colours etc. So all anybody would need to do is add part specific information to it. I've attached a copy so you can get the jist of what i mean...

    Thanks in advance...

You want to create just one label in sheet?

Create a sheet named "Labels". Copy and paste this macro into the worksheet code module. Do the following: right click the tab name for your "TEMPLATE" sheet and click 'View Code'. Paste the macro into the empty code window that opens up. Close the code window to return to your sheet. Double click the cell in the upper left corner of the label you want to copy to the "Labels" sheet.

    Here is attempt without macro..

Types are not in your order but they are unique.
I'm guessing there should be easier way for conditional formatting but I can not get it at the moment.

Re: Tick a box to create a label

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

I tried this and I couldn't get it to work. Is there a way I can import the label from the template sheet onto labels sheet with say a tick box or a drop down list? For instance, I click Type 1 and it then populates the cells underneath with that label. I then click type 2 and it populates underneath with type 2. I need the template sheet locked ideally..

    Thanks in advance,
    Jase

I think that the suggestion I made in Post #3 should do what you want without a tick box or drop down.

I couldn't get it to work. But if I'm understanding it correctly then that would mean that double clicking the label template would copy it to the label sheet? Yes?

I need the functionality to click something on the labels sheet to fetch the data/formatting from the template sheet. Is this possible?

    That's brilliant! Thank you.

Is there anyway in which I can make it so that this process can be repeated as many times as necessary down the sheet for multiple labels? It's ok if not, just this would be easier for anyone wishing to print various different kinds of labels..
