    Post Microsoft blocking macros but trust centre settings are apparently ok

    I have a spreadsheet containing a simple macro stored on my onedrive which i share with colleagues. I can open the s/sheet fine but when my colleagues do so excel give the "microsoft has blocked macros from running because the source of this file is untrusted".

    I've checked all the trust centre settings and the internet security options which all appear to be as they should but with no luck. Microsoft support were of little help.

    Anybody have any ideas? If you need more information just let me know.

    Many thanks in advance for your assistance if you're able to help.

    Are they opening the file directly from Onedrive or first downloading to their appropriate desktop and then attempting to open...

    Check here for possible solutions...

    Hi Sintek, thanks for your input. The file resides on their local OneDrive and is synchronized with the "cloud" OneDrive so they are opening a local copy of the s/sheet.

    Also thanks for the link, I reviewed that before submitting this thread.

    Thanks for your time

    Every user has to manually authorize every individual macro enabled work book that came from another PC. There isn't a global setting for this, it must be done for every workbook, on every machine.

    To do this, right click on the file and go to properties, and head to the security section at the bottom like in this example;

    @PrizeGotti...
    This is covered in the link provided...As per OP who has already viewed and ascertained that nothing their is of any help...I can only assume that it is a setting being overlooked...
    I also assume that the OneDrive Accounts are all individually set and user pc synced and the file is just shared...
    I do not have the available setup so unfortunately cannot do any testing...Can only be user rights allocation...
    Am still thinking though that saving this file to their desktop and then if opening without any issues will narrow down the reasoning...

    Hi PrizeGotti, thanks for your input. I've tried settings on all the user's machines to no avail - I still get the blocked message. As the file resides in their local copy of the OneDrive there is no option to "Unblock" in the security settings. This only becomes available if a copy is downloaded to the local hard drive which then means the information is no longer spreadsheet isn't dynamic!
