    I am getting this error "Run Time error 9 : subscript out of range " when I start excel, when I open a spread sheet and when I close excel.
    running office 2016 on windows 7

    This is a VBA runtime error. You either have a bug in a VBA add-in, or a bug in code in your PERSONAL.xlsb file. This will need a lot more information to diagnose.

    When you get the error message, does it give you the option to Continue, End, Debug? If so, click Debug, then note what line of VBA code is highlighted in yellow. Copy all of the code, and paste it into a post here, telling us which one is the highlighted line. After you do that, select the code in your post and click the "#" symbol on the edit panel to mark it as code for formatting.
