Change font (text size) of dropdownmenu

Dear experts, it may seem like a simple or stupid question. But I want to change the font (text size) of the options in the dropdown menu. I don't want change the size of the text in the cells, just the size of all the options that show up when you click on the arrow of the dropdownmenu. On multiple sites on internet it says that this can't be done in excel itself, so you have to use VBA editor. Is there somebody who can help me with this or have the VBA code for this? You can't change the font of a data validation dropdown.

The text size of a data validation dropdown changes with Zoom of the sheet so you could zoom in, then readjust the size of everything else on the sheet to keep the original appearance.

If you just have one, rather than a whole column of them, you can replace it with a combobox control which gives a lot more control over appearance.
