Moving Data From 3 Worksheets Into 1

    Hi hivemind!

I have 3 different product tracking workbooks, and when needing to check for a product I have to check all 3. These 3 are time-based, so they change every month to be 'this month plus the previous 2'.

I'm wondering if there's any way we can push a button where the data held on a specified tab in these 3 specified sheets (always called 'Buying Tab') will be pulled onto 1 tab in a different workbook so that I can have a lookup tab to see their status, whatever sheet they're on?

Ideally I'd provide the 3 sharepoint links (or could be local links) before doing a refresh, and it would overwrite the data each time.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks

It's possible but we need much more detail.

Do you mean that the data in the files change, or the file name changes? Give us a specification for what the file names are.

It's challenging to make dynamic links to other workbooks that will work when the workbooks are closed. The way to do this is probably to open the three workbooks, copy the sheets into your master workbook.

You said that you want the data from three different sheets to be copies on a single worksheet. That means you need to show us an example of the data layout in each of the three source data sheets, plus the layout you want in the consolidated sheet.

    Hi jenmc84
If these workbooks are identical layouts, you can use PowerQuery for whatever you want for any part of them.
According to your words, you can use append or merge to place each workbook in a query and then do the append for all of them in one query then do the adjustment and make it into one.
For the source of the files, you can place them in a folder and then pass this folder path to the power query as a source path.
Also, you can use parameters to add the paths, or direct links if links are not changing from one month to another.
After solving the path issue, you can append as said, and then add a custom conditional column and set your criteria to get the items for the time duration you are looking for.
    A sample would help.
    Thank,
    Mohamed GadAllah
