Read Japanese text using VBA

I have some Japanese text in Cell G1 バクレーズ

I am simply trying to read it using VBA, however somehow I am not able to get it working. Any help in the right direction would be much appreciated

Below are the 2 solutions that I tried -

And the second is using API functions to access the clipboard
