Unhappy labels in formulas picking up wrong range

    Hi,

some of you may have already met me- I was aking for help on how to post.

    Figured it out.

Here's my problem. I'm using labels in formulas and most of them work just fine. there is one group, however, that does what if feels like.

When I copy the formula down, the labels in the formula either act as an absolute cell, or it picks up a range of cells. I just want it to pick up the relative cell.

    The formula is: =IF(Branches=0,Zero,Branch Calc1)

I have renamed the label so that there are no spaces or numbers, but the problem remains.

    any suggestions?

    it's driving me craaaaaazay!

    Thanks,
    Carmen

    furthermore............

if I change the formula to look like this

    =IF(Branches=0,Zero+0,Branch Calc1+0) it works!!

Does anyone know what's going on?

    Thanks.
