    currency formats

I am creating some VBA for a quoting tool and in doing so I have to make this
    work for multiple currencies.
I have used the following for Japanese Yen
    Sheet2.Range("CurrencyFormat").NumberFormat = "[$¥-411]#,##0.00"
    And the following for US/Canada
    Sheet2.Range("CurrencyFormat").NumberFormat = "$#,##0.00"

This works fine for my machine's regional settings, however when I send this
to my Japanese team the US/Canada format views as Yen and the Yen formatting
    comes as a plus sign.

Is there a way to force this outside of changing the regional settings.
They will need the ability to change this from USD to JPY and to make matters
worse I will need to modify the code to reflect other areas in the Pacific
    Rim.

    Thanks

    Wayne

    Hello Wayne,

You don't make mention of which OS you are using. If you are using XP 2003 there are API calls that can be invoked by VBA. As far as I have found out this is only available on XP 2003. This doesn't do you much good on the client end though. The only other alternative would be to create a DLL you could export.

    Hope this helps,
    Leith Ross
