Passing parameters from excel to access

    Hi All,

I have a query in Access which expects a parameter. When I link the
access query to an excel using Data -> Import External Data -> New
Database Query and choosing this query, I get the message "Too few
    parameters. Expected 1".

Any pointers to how I can resolve this by passing a parameter value
from excel (say, from a cell in the sheet) to the access query and
retrieve the results in the excel?

    Do let me know

    Thanks
    Jabeen

When you've selected the query and the fields and the sorting
When you select Data/New query you first get a wizard to
select the databse, table and columns.

When that is done the dialog "Import Data" comes up.
where you can indicate where the data needs to go..

At the bottom of that dialog there is a button "Parameters".
(it is greyed out when the query has no params, but it should be
available when your query HAS (and needs) params.
