    video time code calculating

    hours:minutes:seconds:frames

    10:00:10:21 + 10:01:02:10 = 10:01:13:07

....the last two numbers are frames and thats why 24=1 second

    10:01:02:10 - 00:00:10:21 = 10:00:51:13

I am just a video guy who doesnt know programming and would really be happy
if someone could help me with this...I have 400 codes to calculate....so if I
could just put them inside excel....that would be great.....thnx

    Hi

Video has afaik 25 or 30 frames / second, 24 is film ? Anyway, Excel can't
do this by herself. Try John Walkenbach's Excel addin PUP, with the TIMEXX
    functions
    http://www.j-walk.com/ss/pup/pup6/functions.htm
    or google "Excel timecode".

    HTH. Best wishes Harald

This is a difficult one and I don't know enough about it.
However, Harald Staff is both a video professional and an Excel expert.
Do a search on Google's advanced group search:

with all of the words: frames

    groups: *excel*
