    Inserting a UserForm inside a Worksheet

    Hello

    I have developped a userform and I would like to place it in the worksheet (Sheet1). I tried to use "Insert" from the main menu, but it doesn't give me the choice of inserting a userform. So how can I do that?

    Also, how can I embed a drop-down list into a certain cell? I'm not talking about the drop-down list from the data validation list, but a real drop-down list that even if I click away from the cell that contains it then the drop-down list arrow still shows.

    Good morning cgi_pro

    OK, lets answer this in several bite size chunks. First, I assumed you used the userform designer in the VBE to draw your userform? You call it to the screen through a line of code :

    Once we know we've got that bit working we'll look at the dropdown box.

    good morning to you too dominicb

    I know the steps to show a form, however, I don't want to show it only, I want it to be fixed in a certain location within the worksheet itself, in other words; embedded

    Hi cgi_pro

    Nope - you can't do this. About the nearest thing you'd get to that would be to have the form on screen (displayed modelessly) so that you could work on a range of cells while the userform is displayed.

    Hi cgi_pro

    Oh yes, I'd forgotten all about that. What you actually want to look at are comboboxes. I'm assuming you want to look at those that reside in a worksheet, not in a userform. If so have a look at this excellent tutorial workbook put together by Ole P Erlandsen ;
