Searching within substring text

Hi everybody.

I have a column which has people's names within it:

Name
Joe Smith, John Doe
Mary Carey, George Lopez, Mike Tyson
etc.etc

I want to write a function that searches within each cell and looks to see if it matches.
eg.

Search input: John Doe

and it return the entire row where this value is found. Any help with this? I heard substrings may work but I don't know the substring syntax!
