Excel Alert notification

Hi, i have a chart where it shows a list of items and dates remaining before it is inspected...(i do not have time to look at the list on a daily basis) Is there any way that Excel can notify or alert me before the items are expired? via either a pop-up window message or email notification...ANY help would GREATLY APPRECIATED ... I think i have the newer version of excel 2003 or above...Thanks.

You could add a Workbook_Open event macro to the Personal project in the VBA editor. This will then run each time Excel is opened and check your dates
remaining against the current date and alert you with a message box as
appropriate.
