how to do summation of checked boxes?

    how to do summation of checked boxes?

    i need to an attendance sheet, and have placed a checked box next to every name

    would like to have a summation of the number of checked box at cell 'c27'

    while the checked box is along 'c4 to c23'

    can i use excel to do it? or can anyone help me with the macro code? am a total nut in vba. hope u can help me in layman terms!!

    If you use the checkbox tool from the Forms Toolbar, you can assign cell links to them (assign C4-C23, respectively to each checkbox). When checked, the cell link value will be TRUE....

    Then you can use formula =Countif(C4:C23,TRUE)
    Where there is a will there are many ways.
